Barack Obama is going to be the first African-American president. 

Ilana Wexler  is cool.

Teresa Heinz Kerry is cool but sometimes it seems like she's on drugs.

Wednesday: Watch Edwards (two americas...son of a mill worker)
Thursday: Going to a bar to watch Kerry with a bunch of other supporters (sign up for an event near you at www.johnkerry.com)
Sunday: Going to a BBQ hosted by Gabe Castillo, who is running Congress against Dan Lungren: www.castilloforcongress.org.

  first day of the convention!

Our observations while watching the after-show commentary with Larry King:
Bill Clinton is THE MAN!!!! He's better than Elvis
Jimmy Carter is also the man and will always be the man.
We didn't see Al Gore (on too early). He keeps getting cooler, in my mind, though.
Why is Ben Affleck part of the after-show commentary?
What the hell kind of name is "Tucker" and does he really think that bow tie looks good?
