  Fahrenheit/911 review

We just got back from seeing Michael Moore's new documentary, Fahrenheit/911. We went out to the burbs to see it because we figured it was a given that it would be sold out at our local art house theatre. Well, the 7:40 showing in the suburbs, in their big theatre was also sold out. We had purchased our tickets in advance, and we got there 40 minutes early, so we had our pick of seats.

You've probably read lots of reviews already. It's very well done. I wish I hadn't read so much about it before I saw it, because nothing I saw was a surprise or very shocking to me. Margaret asked me what part of the movie was the most discusting or infuriating and I said it was every single time they showed Bush. I'm more dedicated than ever to doing everything I can do between now and November to make sure that he's out of our lives come January. And I will have such a party the day after the election.

Anyway, go see it and take your undecided friends along.

Comments:
Hi Chris and Margaret,

Since you've already reviewed this one, I'll just supplement your comments with what made me super-mad when watching this movie. Pretty much everything was really upsetting, but what makes me really mad are all the reviews I've read of the movie. Even the good reviews seemed to label the movie and Michael Moore as extremist and warned viewers to take all of Moore's statements with a grain of salt. It scares me that it is still considered extremist to contradict this President. His actions should be considered unacceptable to Republicans, Democrats or anyone who cares about our country. The President is a moron, an evil moron. I used to think it was kinda funny, but now I just can't.

Right now, there's an ad on the right hand side of the screen that says "Fahrenheit/911: True or False". It goes to this fucked up "American Progress Institute" or something.

The conservatives are scared and are doing everything they can to spread lies about this movie and to stop people from seeing it. It's totally not working, though!!!! ha ha ha.

Keep in mind that they do own the media, and they are very effective in spending money to keep repeating things until people who don't know any better believe them. BUT, anyone who actually sees this movie can't come out of it saying "It's all lies".

It's lies that Bush sat in that classroom for a fucking eternity after he found out about the SECOND plane hitting the trade center? Were those scenes of Iraqi civilians being killed staged? Are those baby-faced boys dying in order to help Michael Moore spread his lies?

Get your non-voting and undecided friends out there to see this movie. I'll buy them beers afterwards.
