The Big Journey of 1996
by Chris Minnick

Day 3: Thursday, April 18

Today's travels began in Brinkley, Arkansas. We drove to Little Rock, where we saw the capital building, and bought a "Socks, the first cat" postcard, a "birthplace of Bill Clinton" postcard and a picture of Little Rock postcard.

We continued on I-40 west, ate in Russelville, Arkansas, saw a very large nuclear power plant in western Arkansas, and eventually wound up in Oklahoma City just in time for the aniversary of the bombing (which is tomorrow).

The site where the Federal Building used to be is very freaky. Seeing bombed out buildings was frightening enough, but there were also plenty of fat women wearing Oklahoma City Bombing t-shirts. The combination was deadly.

Add to this already scary scenario the plethora of greasy haired news anchormen, and you have an event which will not soon be forgotten. Tomorrow we drive to Roswell, New Mexico. This should provide for some extremely interesting writing.

Oh, Taco Bueno is very nice. It's a fast food chain here. Much better than Taco Bell. Check it out if you're ever down in these parts.
