BEST OF SAC

Time to vote!

Let's not have Lyon's and McDonald's win all the categories this year!

Comments:
Hey, maybe we can vote for locals in all of the "chain" categories too?

You'll be happy to know that I did not vote for Lyons or McDs for anything.

oooo - good idea, John! That did not occur to me.

And don't forget to vote for J 2 Steakers for whatever category it fits in. I couldn't stand to fill out that form...boring. But, I'm sure J 2 Steakers fits somewhere.

Be glad you did not vote, Chris. I just received the email below, and I logged in to find that -- gasp! -- I am one of the "small number" of people whose Food & Drink votes were lost. I wonder if a CTO is resigning over this, like at AOL.

Subject: Best of Ballot glitch...

Dear Reader:

Thank you for voting in the News & Review's 2006 Best of Sacramento contest. Due to a database glitch, we may have lost a small number of your votes in our Food & Drink category. Please return to www.newsreview.com, log in with your email address and password, open your ballot and check to see if your answers are still listed. If any category you filled in is blank, then the computer lost your vote in that category. Before midnight on August 23, take the opportunity to reenter your votes for the very best food and drink offerings in Sacramento. Make your vote count.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we very much appreciate your added effort.

Yours,
The Sacramento News & Review
